You’re free to choose your provider: Most care is out-of-network. You can choose the doctor and hospital in the US that best suits your needs.
How much money will be owed? You will not pay more than what is reasonable. For most health care, your self-funded plan uses the Medicare reimbursement rate and then increases the rate by a certain percentage to determine what you can afford to pay for covered services.
If you receive a payment that exceeds the reasonable charge (called a “residual charge”) for a covered service, please contact Customer Service. Members are not obligated to pay any remaining balances for Covered Services.
