At first she made keys for friends and family who inspired her to open an Etsy shop. He said he wanted to do something that looked fashionable and not obvious. His mother encouraged him to create TikTok to promote locks and help others. All it took was one “blowing” video. Fabulyss Boutique’s TikTok has 1.5 million followers with 30.8 million video likes.
“It took two or three months for my business to explode. The video that went viral got about a million views and after that, every video would get more than 20,000,” he said.

TikTok’s niche of independent businesses selling “protection keys” to women is an approach that worries security experts and has exposed some of its sellers to potential legal problems.
These colorful allegations are also called “safety rings,” and are sold in an overcrowded online marketplace that caters to women’s concerns about gender-based violence. The ventures were started by generation Z women and offer almost identical products for all industries.

Typically retailing for over $30, the keychains are marketed as a must-have for women who want to feel secure while looking beautiful. Decorated wristbands and brown pom-poms carry items – sometimes hidden – such as pepper spray, guns, pocket knives or sharp knives.
